Pedro Morelli graduated with a degree in Audiovisual Studies from the University of São Paulo, where he specialized in sound and cinematography. In 2009, he took courses at Maine Media College, an American school of photography for cinema. Passionate about audiovisual narrative, Pedro has remained focused on fiction projects.
Pedro created and was the overall director of the TV series "Contos do Edgar (Tales of Edgar)", which adpated the stories of Edgar Allan Poe to the reality of contemporary Brazil for the Fox Channel. Pedro directed three of the first five episodes of the series, including the first which had the largest audience ever registered for a premiere of a Brazilian cable TV series.
He co-directed the feature film "Entre Nós (Between Us)" with his father Paulo Morelli, and the film won awards in the Rio de Janeiro and Manus Film Festivals and was an official selection for the Rome and Havana Film Festivals.
2016 marked the premiere of Pedro’s first feature film "ZOOM". Filmed in 2014, this Brazilian-Canadian co-production is a sarcastic comedy filmed in both of these countries with dialogue in English and Portuguese.
