The new Google Earth has released, in partnership with O2 Filmes, videos with interactive stories that deal with various aspects of the Amazonian region where 25 million people live amid a vastness of cultural diversity.
Each story of the Eu Sou Amazônia (I Am the Amazon) Project captures the complexity of the forest that produces 20% of this planet’s oxygen and contains 1 out of every 10 species of animals.
The video “Eu Sou Água (I Am Water),” produced by Fernando Meirelles, talks about the volume of water that the Amazon forest throws into the air that travels thousands of miles and causes rain throughout the Central-Southern region of Latin America.
The “I Am Water” video depicts the process in which the rain is formed, filling reservoirs and irrigating the farms that produce a good portion of the world’s food.
