O2 Filmes director Quico Meirelles has won an award in the International Short Film, Documentary and TV Reporting Competition with his animated short film “Sob o Véu da Vida Oceânica (Under the Veil of Ocean Life)” at the 2017 CineEco Festival (Serra da Estrela International Environmental Film Festival) in Portugal.
CineEco is the only film festival in Portugal dedicated to the environment. It’s been held in Seia every October since 1995.
“Sob o Véu da Vida Oceânica (Under the Veil of Ocean Life)” was written by Felipe Arrojo Poroger and directed by Quico Meirelles. It features animation and art directed by Chico Zullo. The production coordinator was Ton Ruey, the voice director was Melissa Garcia, and the sound editing supervisor was Allan Zilli. The final cut was produced by Danielle Belo, the musical production was overseen by Sound Design Productions, which features original music by Bruno Bonaventure and Jesus Sanchez, and the original soundtrack was produced by Ultrassom Music Ideas.
