Today’s the day of Mulheres Alteradas (Women on the Edge), the new O2 feature film which is debuting in Brazilian cinemas.
This feature film is based on the work of the same name by Maitena Burundarena, an Argentinean cartoonist known all over the world for her comic books. Just in Brazil, her comic book Mulheres Alteradas (Women on the Edge, published by Rocco) has sold more than 400 thousand copies and was the inspiration for the film’s screenplay written by Caco Galhardo.
Director Luis Pinheiro talks about how he dealt with various phases of the film, and director of photography Will Etchebehere talks about the photography and the film’s colors.

The musical theme of the film “Top Top,” is a new version of the classic song by Rita Lee, sung by Tulipa Ruiz and Mc Carol just for this film.
Women on the Edge was written by Caco Galhardo and directed by Luis Pinheiro, and features photography directed by Will Etchebehere and art directed by Guta Carvalho. It stars Alessandra Negrini, Deborah Secco, Maria Casadevall, Monica Iozzi, Sérgio Guizé, Daniel Boaventura, Mário Gomes, Patricya Travassos, Sueli Franco and Stepan Nercessian. Watch the trailer:
