O2 FILMES AND CONRAD PUBLISHING AT THE 2018 COMIC CON EXPERIENCE
O2 Filmes and Conrad Publishing will participate in a panel discussion during the Comic Con Experience (CCXP) at the São Paulo Expo to announce the launch of Graphic Novel, a trilogy of comic books with new heroes and villains, written and drawn by Pedro Ivo.
The panel discussion will take place on December 9 at 3 pm in the Prime Auditorium and will feature the presence of Pedro Ivo and Erez Milgrom, Coordinator of Development at O2.
Ponta do Iceberg (Tip of the Iceberg) is the first book of the trilogy which is scheduled to be published in August 2019. The characters include Elis, a gay black hero from the periphery. Before reaching newsstands, the comic books will be available through Social Comics.
The comics continue the story of Caliel, an aspiring actor who discovers he has powers and decides to be a superhero in the city of São Paulo. When he intervenes in an assault on a bus, he sets off a chain of events that will make him face moral and social dilemmas.
When Caliel faces the dilemma of whether or not to save the thief, the reader is invited to discuss problems like violence, social inclusion and privileges, and see how the choices that the hero makes affect the lives of various people.
“The fundamental idea behind this universe is to imagine what it would be like if people from different cultures and social classes in Brazil acquired superpowers, and how our reality would react,” Ivo tells us.
