Paula Madureira, producer of the commercials for the new Sky campaign, talks about her work.
“These Sky commercials have a combine sets and 3D with the real, and this led to a new way of working. The filming was very technical. We had to mark everything in terms of camera angle and height so that 3D could put it all together afterwards.”
“Normally during filming you have 2 or 4 monitors at most. For these commercials we had to have 10 because post-production had to see, the switcher had to see, the makeup artist had to see, the costume designer had to see, etc. So this was a new way of doing things that I had to learn.”
“Filming celebrities and dealing with their time schedules while at the same time meeting our technical expectations for post-production was another challenge.”
“We did a lot of rehearsing before with the cast, the camera, with everything as if we were going to really film, so that when the time came to film we knew that the first lens we’d use would be a 50, at this height, at this angle, with this shutter speed, and all of that. I learned a lot.”
