The series Som e Fúria (The Sound and the Fury), produced by O2 Filmes, will be shown in Sweden on the Sveriges Television network which has six channels. STV acquired the rights to the series directed by Fernando Meirelles, Fabrizia Pinto, Gisele Barroco, Toniko and Rodrigo Meirelles and intends to exhibit it later this year on the STV2 channel, the market share leader with roughly 34 percent of the viewing audience. The director of Sales for Globo International Raphael Corrêa Netto says that this sale marks the return of Brazilian soap operas to the Scandinavian market, which is a testament to the high quality of our productions. Som e Fúria (The Sound and the Fury) tells the behind the scenes story of a Shakespearian theater acting troupe. The series was shown on the Globo network in 2009 and the Municipal Theater of São Paulo was one of its principal locations. Various scenes were filmed in a replica constructed in the O2 studios in Cotia. Som e Fúria (The Sound and the Fury) is the result of a partnership between O2 Filmes and TV Globo, which sent the series Cidade dos Homens (City of Men), distributed by TV Globo International, to countries such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Mozambique, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States and Venezuela.
