O2 is celebrating more than 5 million hits in less than a week for the official channel of its client Vivo on YouTube by people wanting to see “Eduardo e Mônica (Eduardo and Monica)”, written by the Africa agency and directed by O2’s Nando Olival.

The production of commercials on the internet is getting a lot of attention and this should only increase going forwards. Before this in June 2010, another O2 production in the same format, “O último gol de Pelé (Pelé’s last goal)”, directed by Nando Olival and Luciano Moura, also attracted tremendous attention. “Eduardo e Mônica – A história de amor mais cantada do Brasil (Eduardo and Monica – the most often sung love story in Brazil)” is a homage to the musician Renato Russo and the 25 years that have passed since he wrote this famous song.

The production was done in São Paulo and involved a large crew of O2 professionals including art director Fred Pinto and director of photography Ricardo Della Rosa.
